The new version of The Ghost of Tom Joad on High Hopes actually has Tom Morrello on guitar which is pretty awesome :) and yeah, it's a good tune from that, and Joss Whedon is just a boss in general!!!

While the Byrds, the Hollies, and Tom Petty aren't technically 'power pop', I suppose, they touch on 'pop rock' to a point where the line between them and powerpop is a disintction without a difference. I'd also add the Romantics and Material Issue, especially the latter's songs "Diane" and "Valarie Loves Me".

Oh, goodness, there's so much great work on there... I'd include at least two songs from Cheap Trick's 'At Budokan' album and at least two from Van Duren's 'Are You Serious?' Also the singles "She's so High" by Tal Bachmann and "Next Stop" by Bleached.

"Damn, that was very mellow. So mellow that I cannot even remember anything about the song 30 seconds after it ended." But it's so beautiful. :'( :D

The low scrobble count is directly the result of me listening to music for about 3 years without updating either AS or itunes, resulting in a lot of lost scrobbles that I only recently noticed lol :-) thanks for the feedback btw

LOL, I'm sorry, I just can't get past all that R.E.M. hate. And I used to really like them, it's odd.

that's a good philosophy, and I'm mostly the same way. That's probably why I haven't seen that many artists

Descrizione

I like music. Most of it is good. Some of it is not so good. That's ok, I feel the same way about your music.

As a child I listened to 60's rock, soul, funk and R&B (my dad). News (my mom). American standards & swing (my grandma). 50's rock and classic country (my grandpa). AM top 40 radio (me). As a teenager I listened to classic rock, NWOBHM, Thrash Metal, Dr. Demento, and a lot of MTV (back when they actually played music videos). I also watched an incredibly large quantity of stand up comedy on Showtime & HBO. As a young adult in Seattle, I became a fan of the local scene (grunge) before it exploded the music world in the early 90's.

A wide range of influences which have screwed up my musical DNA.

Movies I watch repeatedly: The Avengers,Serenity, Grosse Pointe Blank, Ronin, The Fifth Element, The Bourne Trilogy & Stardust.

I watch Big Bang Theory, The Daily Show, NCIS & The Blacklist.

I still watch Buffy, Firefly, Red Dwarf, Young Justice & the X-Files.

Currently binge watching: Fringe

Some of my favorite writers: Robert A Heinlein, Robert Anton Wilson, Neil Gaiman, Neal Stephenson, William Shakespeare, Edward Albee & Philip K. Dick.

Comics I currently read: Rachel Rising, All New X-Men, Indestructible Hulk, All-Star Western, The Walking Dead & Buffy Season Ten.

Favorite comics from the past: The Sandman, Cerebus the Aardvark, Strangers in Paradise, Justice League International, The Warlord & Ambush Bug.

I'm also on The Facebook. If you want to be my friend, just ask.

Come check out Bunny Bunny Music. The last.fm home of Clutch Douglass, Nightrain & Marytre.
