I'm pretty behind on new stuff other than DJ Koze and Applescal from this year. Here's some of my fave discoveries of the last year or so that I don't see that you've scrobbled: Another Electronic Musician - Five; Bochum Welt - Module 2; Chrome Sparks - My <3; Bola - Soup; Daphni - Jiolong; Deadbeat - Eight; Detroit Escalator Co. - Black Buildings; Christ. - Distance Lends Enchantment; Jetone - Ultramarin; Jurgen Paape - Kompilation (especially So Wiet Wie Noch Nie); Laurent Garnier - Unreasonable Behaviour; Lorn - Nothing Else; The Mole - As High as the Sky; Fennesz - Venice; Near the Parenthesis - Of Soft Construction; Quiet Village - Silent Movie; The Rice Twins - Can I say; Plaid - Double Figure; Two Lone Swordsmen - Tiny Reminders; Wisp - The Shimmering Hour; Xela - For Frosty Mornings

I think you'd like the new Applescal album. Kinda like a combo of Four tet and The Field

Hey! I saw that you're going to Coachella and thought you might be interested my blog, www.coachellafestival.tumblr.com. Every day my blog features one artist playing at the upcoming Coachella festival. Here I've created an information and media center that aggregates basic artist information, third party reviews, music, and music videos conveniently in one place. It also allows you to listen to music playlists grouped by genre and artist. Happy listening!

cool to see some Valentin Stip plays. You ever listen to John Roberts - Glass Eights? Seems like something you'd enjoy. (sorry for all the possibly unwelcome recs lately...)

James Blake is great! I just haven't listened to him as much as i would like to... i'll circle back to Blake in due time. Some of my friends with the worst taste like Blake...which makes me scared. Check out Francisco Lopez' Through the looking glass when you have the taste for really heavy "academia" drone/sound sculpture/ambient The album is 5 discs long.. he's like the Lord of the Rings of Ambient albums.

Since we're 'new' friends.. forgive me if i rattle off some albums that you might have already heard but what instantly comes to mind are the following: Alva Noto- "Xerrox Vol.1 and Vol.2" ; Frank Bretschneider- "Rhythm"; Robert Henke "Layering Buddha".. Hallucinator- "Land Locked" ... if you really like dreamy ambient with a cerebral coating check out Stephan Mathieu and Janek Schaefer's "Hidden Name"...an album i'm recently discovered...and Stephan Mathieu and Taylor Deupree's "Transcriptions".. fine ambient in the vein of Hecker. Hope that helps.

I didn't figure it to be that high since it always seems like you're more into the indie stuff on the site. I'm pretty much super with everyone from sputnik.
