This year wasn't as ridiculous an album buying year as the couple of previous ones have been. Let's just say that seemingly ever-studying in the University is showing in the financial side… Still, I'm reasonably happy, and my list of albums-to-buy is now actually shorter than it has been in some time! (EDIT: And now that I thought about the list a bit more… it's not. -_- Look forward for seeing a vast 2015 list! :P)
2/2014:
3/2014:
Freedom Call - Beyond
Noble Beast - Noble Beast
Noble Beast's debut was my first ever digital download from which I paid. Now I need to preserve that data very carefully! :D Rarely if ever has a completely nameless debuting band surprised me this much; what an unbelievable traditional heavy metal album in the veins of Running Wild, Iron Savior, Blind Guardian, Dark Empire, and so on!
4/2014:
Tampere:
Caught in the Between - The Asylum
Jethro Tull - The Broadsword and the Beast
Lumsk - Åsmund Frægdegjevar
Pink Floyd - The Division Bell
Virgin Steele - The Book of Burning
Kotka (some official Record Shop Day or shit):
Dreamtale - Epsilon
Ultravox - Vienna
Van Halen - Van Halen II
8/2014:
Straight from the secret confinements of the CRYSTAL CAVE:
Gentry Lord - Signals from the Mystiverse
9/2014:
Ye good ol' annual "yay, summer job is over, so I have some money! Well, not for long!" record order. :I
Ayreon - The Theory of Everything
DoomSword - My Name Will Live On
Grave Digger - Return of the Reaper
King Diamond - The Graveyard
Rick Wakeman - The Ultimate Rick Wakeman Experience
Running Wild - Masquerade
Scanner - Hypertrace
Scarab - Rolling Like Thunder
^ Finally, every relevant Running Wild is in the shelf! ^_^ And I finally bought the newest Ayreon. Can't wait to experience almost a guaranteed mind-blowing album for the first time! Also, this Rick Wakeman collection has really impressed me so far… it actually feels pretty Ayreonish! No wonder since Arjen himself is pretty 70s-sounding. Guess I like it and should discover more of those original 70s prog bands next… boy, yet another never-ending hill to climb…
10/2014:
Gamma Ray - Empire of the Undead
Satan - Life Sentence
SoulSpell - The Labyrinth of Truths
Symphony X - Paradise Lost
