I've been kind of down on Franz Ferdinand because their music follows a formula that started out quite exciting on the first album but grew stale for me by the third.
Here's the thing, though… That formula is *perfect* for live performance!
Holy crap what a fun show! I don't think there was a single song that didn't have me at least bobbing my head. (I'm a bit reserved, so that's a good thing.)
I found the opening act, Born Ruffians, reasonably amusing, though the bass was heavy and muddy and the singer mostly mumbled. Mostly, I thought the drummer put on an entertaining show.
