a few theaters here are now showing it but they're really far away. limited releases really suck, especially when you have no car. if it's still playing by the time I get out of school, I might try to go to wherever's the closest to see it because I really want to watch it in the theater. ahh ok. is the dialogue on the same level of quality of its predecessors? my parents are like that too. it's the reason I went to go see pulp fiction with my dad a few months ago. did your dad like the films? also good to hear you had a nice time.

Ahh. I thought you meant you already had it planned to go see it with her. Sorry. Well don't worry about it because I wasn't able to get anyone to go see it with me either. Not that it matters anymore though because I found out through Kevin tonight that it's only showing in L.A. and New York :( Hope you enjoy it though!

acid rap met above my expectations. Since the kid is only 20, (weirdly, i listen to him when i turned 20 too), i thought it was goin to be kind of bad....The dude knows his stuff. He pays homage. J DIlla samples and Chicago Jazz on his CD. He can rap, like the song with bronson. He has style you CAN'T copy. I like that. Sonia suggested me that Rodriguez album when she was writting a paper. Bronson is an OG, you can hear it with the words he uses. I think I like him a lot because him and Roc Marciano are the only rappers today that actually have an evolving NY style from back in the day. After G-unit, NY wasnt the same. Bronson would be picking up where NY stop evolving right before Ja Rule and DMX left off. I can't wait to listen to his album with Harry Fraud. The album with Alchemist is good, but the thing about Bronson is the all his album sound soooo different to each other. I got like 90 records, they're dorky actually

I've been there. it sucks but it's great that you're actually going to take some initiative and try to change that. wish you the best of luck, man. I haven't seen any of those shows, not exclusively, but community. any you would recommend? I wish my dad didn't work as much as he did 'cause he's pretty much the only one else in my family who takes an interest in films. ahh that sucks. you ever thought about getting into a career in tv? yeah, i'm hoping for something like that. I should probably try to be a little bit more open with people to get that done though. we'll see. well, sometimes it's not as easy for a film to go on criterion due to buying rights and stuff like that from the director. eraserhead was supposed to be on criterion but unfortunately hasn't yet due to some conflict with lynch. for a film to go on the criterion collection, it would have to be either really well directed or important to the history of cinema. or something like that.

Don't sweat it, man. Just keep your head up and give it all you have for the classes you have left. As long as you don't fail any. I might, forcefully, have to take a year off which FUCKING sucks because all I had left was a year left to graduate and I already put in a deposit for a house up here in Humboldt for fall so I have like a million problems right now but ya I think you're good. I'll be sure to let you know if I find something good. How big are you on Takashi Miike? He has a lot of good flicks.

packaging and cover art are usually really cool on criterions too (i.e. repo man and on the waterfront). thanks man. i don't know, everything usually drags for me but we'll see. out of all the 4 years i've spent at this school, i'm almost positive that the only thing i'm going to miss is 6th period my sophomore year. good times... yeah, i hope that college is different for me than high school has been. hope to finally meet some interesting people outside of the internet.

lol. well that's still not bad at all. you should definitely work on doing your best though. why have you been feeling shitty? something happen lately? damn dude, that class sounds pretty awesome and your teacher sounds cool. what shows have you guys watched? i just hope that whichever cc i go to has a class like that. what i'm really hoping for is a film class tho. to my surprise, my dad told me he had actually seen it when it first came out and that he loved it. that was a total mindfuck. how's calvin been? have you talked to him lately? well, of course i do get em to collect em but i've always bought the ones that looked like they'd be something i like and so far they've all been great. my first criterion turned out to be one of my favorite films of all time. possibly my #1 favorite, actually. some come with neat stuff like posters and booklets with interviews and reviews by critics, and some don't. but all come with some cool special features like in depth directors' commentaries.

oh yeah. it's so great that you were right about that. pretty much the same, actually. the blockbuster near my house closed down recently and i bought as many films as i could before they did. for the most part, i've only seen the stuff i bought there and a few films i've downloaded and watched on netflix. been trying to build up my criterion collection too as of late. i also got to see dazed in confused like 2 or 3 weeks ago in the theater with my dad! i wanted to see springbreakers that night but it would have been too weird with my dad there lol so i bought django unchained that night and saw that with him too. yeah, less than 2 months before graduation now. can't wait tbh. i've cleared up all my detentions and shit so now all i have to worry about is getting to each class on time everyday. after that, nothing but films and reading until i start college. tv criticism? how's that? also, how have you been? been working hard at school?

lol nah. this was an old account i never used. i had no other way of contacting you 'cause you haven't been on tumblr in a while, and kevin told me this is where i could find you. nice! that's great that you have someone to see it with. i've been really hyped for it every since i first found out about it. sooo glad that the release has been moved up to next month instead of september.

Damn, anatomy wasn't that hard from what I remember but then again my professor gave extra credit out the ass. Shit, what other classes are you taking? Also you seen any good movies lately? I'm almost done with the semester and I'm already compiling a list of things to do/watch over the ~summer~

Nice Last FM name I bet people were pissed that you got there before they did :P Couple music questions, be greatly appreciated if you could head to my Last FM and answer them. Question 1- Do you prefer albums that stick to one theme with each track contributing to the overall narrative (e.g. OB4CL) or ones that offer something different on each track (e.g. Most Eric B & Rakim albums)? Question 2- Where do you find new music? Question 3- Favourite album covers ever? (Can be any genre) Question 4- Favourite concept for a hip-hop track/album? Thanks in advance
