Well I consider myself quite fortunate, to have seen three of my favorite bands in less than 2 months time! Yesterday on the 12th it was finally time to see Yes, an English progressive rock band formed in London in 1968. YES! This band is generally regarded as one of the archetypal bands of the genre. Despite a great many lineup changes, occasional splits within the group and the ever-changing trends in popular music, the band has continued on for over forty years and still retains a large following, me encluded.

Lineup on this tour: Long-term band members Chris Squire (bass), Steve Howe (guitar) and Alan White (drums). Furthermore the band consists of vocalist Benoît David and keyboardist Oliver Wakeman. Oliver is the first son of former band member Rick Wakeman.

Well I guess we were about a 1000 people who came to see the show, and here is my setlist:

I must say I was a bit concerned when i learned that lead singer and co-founder of the band Jon Anderson would not be present due to health problems. Certainly, nobody can replace Anderson's voice, which has been described as that of a "faerie on helium". Still, stand in Benoît David did an excellent job indeed in yesterday's performance and furthermore seems a very sympathetic guy.

It was amazing to see these guys perform live and the band got plenty of very positive responses from the audience, often even standing ovations!

My personal favorites of the performed songs:
Siberian Khatru
I've Seen All Good People
And You And I
Owner Of A Lonely Heart
Roundabout
Starship Trooper

Some personal favorites of mine which I had very much wanted them to play as well:
Close To The Edge
Wonderous Stories
Sweetness
Yesterday and Today
The Revealing Science Of God (Dance Of The Dawn)

Still I was perfectly satisfied when leaving the venue, and very very happy indeed to have seen this legendary and amazing band performing live!

Oh and I bought two very cool band shirts :-)
