"You don't seem to understand the deal/I don't give two shits on how you feel."

Those very nice lines open of those groundbreaking albums of the nineties.
A brand new band, who lived and playedin the desert of Palm Springs, jumped over the boundaries of the world of Rock. Kyuss had a "Fuck You!" like attitude. They played their songs slow, heavy and with some punk. No one could put them in a genre but Doom-Fans, Punks and Metalheads worshipped them.
"Sky Valley" may have been a kickass album but on their debut Blues for the Red Sun they had their best condition. Well, they had their best band line-up there as well.
Their drummer Brant Bjork brought the whole concept of the album and the concepts of songs like 50 Million Year Trip,Caterpillar March or the awesome Green Machine.
Josh Homme's dreaming Writhe showed awesome song writing from the Queens of the Stone Age mastermind.
The whole sound of Kyuss was an influence for a whole lot of other bands like:
Nebula, Dozer and many more.

This album is a classic and a masterpiece.
