Giu 17 2013, 19:59HealeyIsland have parted company with WLM, their label of the last five years and are joining the legendary indie label Flicknife Records.
Mag 7 2013, 11:06"It combines two of my favourite things - a laconic observational lyric ("The End of history is now a shopping mall - selling hairslides and bagels to the underclass") - and a lazy irresistible groove...... squelchy synth stylings make the production instantly memorable - if this gets widely played on the radio it'll instantly become one of those tunes that transport people back to the specific time and era when they first heard it. An instant nostalgia for those good old days of Spring 2013." tom robinson bbc 6 music writing about the track The End of History from the new HealeyIsland album On Ponzi Bridge.
New HealeyIsland album On Ponzi Bridge is out now on WLM through iTunes, Amazon et al. A Bargain at £5.99. Go on, treat yourself.
"IF THERE'S one electronica album you buy this year I'd make it On Ponzi Bridge by HealeyIsland" writes Lee Trewhela from Devon and Cornwall Media.

The next HealeyIsland album is due out in early 2013 on White Label Music but in the mean time here is a taster with a video. This track The End of History features special guest appearances by georg wilhelm friedrich hegel and yoshihiro francis fukuyama and might be best described as squelchy odd pop. Look out for the album which is to be called On Ponzi Bridge.
We hope you enjoy this pre-release sample.

Gen 24 2012, 21:32The Peach Tree - A Scrapbook For Glue Junkies
This album is a distillation of all that is dark and unsettling about 21st Century post industrial world society. Effortlessly inventive and original The Peach Tree drags the listener through a neuroses strewn landscape of powerful sounds and imagery. Each and every beat, note and twisted sound is placed with the artful and poignant deftness of a master. Although A Scrapbook for Glue Junkies is heavily experimental and innovative it never lapses into self indulgence. On the contrary, what we have in this album is a keenly focussed offering from an artist who knows how to use his language - a language that is both individualistic, personal and honed.
Combining hard edged electonic sounds and guitar led song-smithery that is reminiscent that other Australian genius, Daevid Allen, the Peach Tree is rapid marking himself out as the Divided Alien for the 21st Century. A good example of this is the superbly witty Shallow, a creaking guitar led sex ballad that makes an excellent virtue of Angus Maiden’s unique and wonderful vocal style. This is one track amongst many on an album full of stand out tracks.

Mag 16 2011, 11:21Cake, cats, birds and dogs. Such is the unmistakable theme running through this month’s compact, hour long show. With idiosyncratic and wonderful tracks from birdsong artists Lafi, Supertalented and A.K.A. Gelbart, and other superb net label offerings from Entertainment for the Braindead, Cake on Cake and La Rainbow Toy Orchestra, this show is certainly short but sweet. There are also exclusive sneaky peaky previews of material from forthcoming releases by myheadisaballoon and The Horn the Hunt. That plus a track from the stable of that ever excellent label, De Stijl Records, in the shape of the new release from Wet Hair. Look out also for tracks from the dark sleazy electro populists Das Fluff, Dutch barn stormers Labasheeda and the folk songstress Dad’s Daughter. No sessions this month.

Mag 16 2011, 11:14Lots of candles, streamers and jelly all mixed in together to make a jolly nice party for Dandelion Radio in the occasion of its fifth birthday. Thanks to the kindness and benevolence of Jay Stansfield and Ooti Skulf we have two tracks specially recorded to mark this momentous event. Also our good friend Ed Askew pops in to sing us a beautiful rendition of Happy Birthday dandelion radio, complete with warm greetings.
But the festivities don't stop there. Just as the free glass of Dandelion Radio punch starts to hit the spot, the party gets really going with a live session from Tiny Concept. Tracks from LeeDVD, Schmoe, Ben et Béné, awaycaboose, Goto80, Mr Sneaky, SINA, Ruby My Dear, The Peach Tree, Lafi, Conner, Autorotation, and Entertainment for the Braindead, add to the celebratory atmosphere, before a big cake arrives in the shape of a live session from David Shane Smith. Surprise!
