Nice dude, do you ever get into Carl Jung? I've been collecting his books because of something I noticed on Ænima. It's really interesting and worth a read.

I've listened to most of those artists but I'll check out the ones I haven't. And I agree about the conversation; it's been a good one. More people need to learn how to be respectful like we have.

Fair enough ;) I like when people talk, like we are, instead of offending which others, like most people do on youtube, per example. I respect both your opinions and understand what you're saying Gamebounty. By that way, you should try to listen to the artist that I refer, if you didn't do that already. Cumps from Portugal :)

Also, it's obvious that I'm a Tool nut, but I don't ONLY listen to tool. They only make up 1/4th of my total play count. I guess that's a lot lol, but that still means that 80,000 of those plays were from the other artists. Js...

I agree with both of you. I love something from every artist in my library and try to know them all, but I'm also trying to expand as much as possible, like all music lovers. I can pretty much listen to anything, but I'm not going to add everything I hear into my library. The only ones I add are the ones that resonate with me on a certain level. I've put a lot of work into finding new artists, from exhausting the recommendations on and pandora, to asking others for ideas. In the process I've gone through a lot of bands. Collectively, I've heard music from thousands of artists in my life time. But the 384 that I have are the ones that "hit the spot". I get my fix of all the other stuff when I hear them on the radio or at a friends house or what ever. For example, Pitbull's "Give me Everything" has grown on me because of how often I hear it, but it's not something I'd add to my library. I guess you could say I'm picky, but I think it has to do with what feedyourdisease said.

I don't want this page to be fill with others peoples conversations, but I have to say what I think, feedyourdisease. I agree with you about knowing and following the artist you listen to. Of course that I can't know and read about all the artist that I listen, because it's impossible, but I do that to all the artist that I love and listen the most. It's easy to listen to more artists if you listen to a lot of different music genres, like me. But I don't think that's what you should do, I only think that you should open your library to more artist, even if it's in the same music genre. It's easier to listen to the artists that you know that you love but, by opening the doors to others, they may be loved in the same way. There is so many good artist out there, even ones that you would love but you don't know them yet. You should try Sepultura, Pantera, Manowar , Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Staind, Europe, Symphony X, P.O.D. or Korn, if you don't know them yet. Just my opinion to both of you :)

Excuse me for butting in on the comment Faria88 made, but perhaps some people, like myself & probably this guy, like to read and follow the artists they listen to most; have some background info on them all, just for reference and thinking about the song’s meanings and stuff… and some other people, perhaps yourself listen to all kinds of music just because it sounds good, needing no real wish to learn about the artists. Like, I guess it’d be pretty hard to remember things about 2,000 artists – unless you’ve got too much time on your hands – or work with music in some way… just throwing my 2 cents in. ps, Gamebounty, cool library :P
