In no particular order…
Wasp Star (Apple Venus Volume II) by XTC
This is a great album. Different from a lot of other XTC stuff, but every song is catchy and fun to sing along to. The lyrics are interesting, and I think that this is a good album for summer! It's been one of my favourites for a very long time.
Room for Squares by John Mayer
My favourite album by him. The guitar is absolutely beautiful and I love how it seems like it's arranged pretty simply, but the more you listen, the more you notice the little things he's thrown in to make it interesting.
Harbor Lights by Bruce Hornsby
Mmm…I love the piano on this!!! He's a great musician and this album reminds me of the beach and good times. All of the songs are upbeat, even 'Talk of the town', which is about an interracial relationship and how crappy it is when people won't accept them. Hard to make a song about that fun to listen to, but he did it!
Hits by Joni Mitchell
This album is all of Joni's commercially successful stuff, unlike her album 'Misses', which is all of her favourite stuff that wasn't as successful. That's also a great listen, but since I don't have it on my computer, I don't hear it as much as this one…and obviously this one is good too! The perfect album to introduce someone to Joni Mitchell's many others.
Amelie by Yann Tierson
An amazing soundtrack to go with an amazing movie. Amelie wouldn't be the same without this wonderful music! If you haven't seen this movie, see it as soon as physically possible. This album fits it like a glove, it's incredibly beautiful and emotional.
Out of the Vein by Third Eye Blind
I love all of 3EB's stuff, but I can listen to this album in particular over and over without getting sick of it. The guitar on it is really interesting, and as always, I love how frank the lyrics are.
Lost Horizons by Lemon Jelly
Looooove this album! Some of these songs will have you scratching your head until you're too busy smiling and bobbing your head to worry about it. A good album to relax to and be happy while listening to!
Lapalco by Brendan Benson
This album has some variety to it, and it's so catchy! Witty lyrics too. I've listened to it a lot without getting sick of it, and almost all of the songs on it have been my favourite at a given time.
Album of the Year by Brother Love
BROLO!!! If you haven't already, listen to an episode of Keith and the Girl with Brother Love as a guest and get to know his personality. It makes listening to his music so much better! He's a really cool guy and his music is perfect for singing along to with your friends. I can't wait for another album from him!
Steady On by Shawn Colvin
I love Shawn Colvin. I've been hearing her my whole life because my parents used to play this CD all the time, and I found it and ripped it to my computer. It's still as good as it used to be! She's a great singer, songwriter, and guitarist, and I really respect her.
Alopecia by Why?
Every time I think I've gotten everything I can out of this album, something new becomes obvious to me and it's new all over again. Seriously, some of the most amazing music I've ever heard. Pretty much unclassifiable, but I guess experimental hip-hop is the closest to correct! LISTEN TO THIS!!!!!

Murs is straight up dope. Murs and 9th wonder? YES PLEASE. My fave album by these guys. Funny and catchy and just good!
