Do you know The Violet Burning? They have a new (3 cd) album: the story of our lives. It is soooo good en worth the listen. I listened to it a lot the last week, as you can see on my profile :) By the way, I'm going to a concert from Anberlin! That's gonna be awesome!

Hi Pastor, no problemo! I am going to try RED. After your post I heard a lot more of RED. They're coming to that festival I went to last year. Maybe I'm going this year again and see them perform. RED is a lot harder than most bands and artist I used to listen now. But I like it, I think, when I'm in the mood for some headbanging :) Greetings from the Netherlands! Happy listening!

Yo Pastor, how are you doing? Merry Christmas from the Netherlands. I've a Christmasgift for you: John Mark McMillan with his album The Medicine. Probably you already know him, but it's still a gift. I really enjoy his album.

Yes, I went there. It was two weeks ago. It is the biggest Christian festival in Europe. Just like Cornerstone, only way smaller and only three days. HoH were good, I didn't saw their acoustic gig, due to some overlap with another gig. I was very surprised about Trinity, this is a Dutch band with influences from Peru. They were able to get the whole crowd dancing. And I mean really dancing, not only jumping. I don't know if you know some Dutchies, but it's special to get Dutch people dancing ;-) Check them out on Youtube, they played a great live show. I don't know about their album capabilities. Also Anberlin was great. It was their first time in The Netherlands, and I even think their first time in Europe. They played a amazing show. Lots of energy continue flowing. A friend of mine was surprised to see that the had some guy running and overhanding the guitars every time a new song began. Just to keep the energy running. I'm going to watch the video some other time, I'm busy. Later!

Thanks! I'm going to this christian festival here in Holland, so I'm going to see them also. I haven't played their new album Suburba that much, but it sounds good as far I can say now. Here is a website with christian downloads; for a introduction to some christian bands you may not know. Purple Door sounds good. Leigh Nash, is that the leadsinger of Sixpence None the Richer? I really like that band in the past. Haven't listening to it much recently. Greetings from the Netherlands!

Hi Frosty ;-) How was Purple Door? Did you went to the concert of House of Heroes. Next I'll go to Xnoizz Flevo Fest, here in the Netherlands. With Leeland, Anberlin, Kutless, House of Heroes, The Listening, Violet Burning, The Afters and many more. I'm curious about HoH, esp. their new album. I enjoyed their 2008 album 'The end is not the end' and their EP with three Beatles covers. Did you enjoyed your holiday? Or no holiday for you as a pastor? Later

Thank you! It was a great game, very exciting, I was very nervous, but finally in the end we made it. Did you had the time to watch the info about my church? As you could see, we became PKN, Protestant Church Netherlands. It's together with the Dutch Lutheran church. Instead of all those new churches (and the fighting) we became one church again. Just like the old days, 2000 years ago ;-) Greetings from Lopik, The Netherlands!

Now we're in the semi finals! Hope we can beat Uruguay, I have a good feeling bout the game next Tuesday. Germany beating Argentinia, it shows that Maradona isn't a good coach. To much difference between what the defence wanted (no more goals against) and the attack (make the 1-1) after the 0-1. It will be a though game against Spain, but I also think Germany. I'm part of the Dutch Reformed Church, its difficult to compare it to a american church. The big difference is that we are more focussed on the preaching and that most American churches have a good band and a lot of singing, but that can be different. It's hard to explain. Check:

Of course I'm watching the World Cup almost every day. It is sport number 1 here. We are through to the last 16, just as USA. 3 wins, 9 points. 5 goals, 1 against (penalty kick). Our next game is against Slowakije, they beat Italy with 3-2. But I think we can win. And USA, against Ghana? Personally I think Ghana, but USA can suprise (with the 2-2 against Slovenia after 0-2 and the 1-0 in the 93 minute against Algerie. Good luck! Maybe till the final! ;-)
