    cool, thanks for the suggestion. i was able to find a bunch of his albums so i'm going through them all. my fave right now is the black saint and the sinner lady. mingus ah um's awesome but the black saint has a unbelievable pull on me right now. i can't believe i've gone this long without hearing this man's music. i only have you to thank for introducing him to me :)

I am a Music Lover.
Grown up with Black Music, I'm such a fan of Soul and Rhythm and Blues music (From Dionnie Warwick, The Isley Brothers, Stevie and all Motown era... to 90s glories... Jodeci, Boyz II Men, Aaliyah, Donnell Jones, MJB and many others!!!) through junior high school i began to listen to Old School Rap that it signed up MOST OF my teenage life!
(I've always been a fan of Grandmaster Flash, Slick Rick, Kurtis Blow, the UNREPLEACEBLE Clan... N.W.A., De La Soul, Public Enemy, Eric B. & Rakim, Mobb Deep, Gang Starr, The Roots... it's an endless list XD)
I love piano, but I'm a singer... and my ispiration, role model, HERO, woman I admire most is MARIAH CAREY!!! (Yes I'm a 100% Lamb :D).
But I'm singing jazz classics so I love Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughan and all jazz singers and musiciants (Bill Evans, Theolonius Monk, Bud Powell, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Dizzie Gillespie, Charlie Parker, Wes Montgomery, Pat Metheny, Joe Pass and George Benson).
In the last 3 months I'm vocalist of a Rock/Hard Rock band infact my lists are full of rock music. There's a lot to say... My favorite, just naming a few: Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Guns N'Roses, Metalica and Queen (Freddie Mercury is another Voice that I love, amazing!!!)
