    It's an AKB48 member, Yuko Oshima. :3 She's my favorite right now, even though I don't know all of 48 of them. ;_;

    Wow, I've been here all day, and didn't even notice that you replied. Sorry man. Anyways, I've been doing pretty well, I don't really do much so it's kind of boring, but at least I'm not depressed or anything. It's pretty cool to hear that you're also an Arco fan as well. I remember getting Coming to Terms almost a year ago, but pushing it aside because for some reason. Coming back to it and hearing it again was definitely a life-changing experience. Arco was actually my first slowcore band, and even after listening to some other slowcore bands, I still consider Arco to be my favorite. I really like how they don't just focus on being melancholy, but also have a sort of warm, nostalgic feeling in their songs. I really hope that they keep making music. Well, it looks like I wrote a lot... It's nice to hear that you're doing well enough, and maybe we can talk some more later, say, about music or something.

    Oh god that was long D: Anyway, also there's T-ara's mini album "YaYaYa" which I think is also great, the title song's lyrics don't make that much sense but still an addicting song. You should also listen to girl group Rainbow's singles "A" and "Mach". They're suuuper good. I hope you have listened to SNSD's mini album "Hoot" too :3

    Oh man! Haven't seen you in a while :3 Do you mind if I recommend japanese releases by kpop artists? 4minute's FIRST is very good, if you haven't heard it yet. Also Big Bang released a new mini album! It's really great, their title track "tonight" is always stuck in my head. After School's Kahi released a solo mini album and I think it's pretty good, nothing that special. I expected a bit more, to be honest. It's still worth listening to. Seungri from Big Bang released a mini album, and it's also awesome. I don't know if you checked out GD&TOP from big bang's album. that album is also one of the best things ever to come out of YG, seriously. Infinite released a new mini album too, "Evolution". The mini is by far one of my favorite releases lately, and I'm so sad they're really underrated. If you haven't listened to also G.NA's album "Black & White" which is also good, but I kinda don't like the fact it's just copy pasting her old songs and adding 1 or 2 new ones.

    Go for it, there's a lot in there. Some stuff I'm not too proud of (Dragonforce) but I don't plan on resetting or anything cause I like looking at all the stuff I listen to / used to listen to.

    to me /mu/ doesn’t have a nice sense of community or anonymity, like say /jp/, and it doesn’t help if you are no longer interested in what’s being posted. I try to avoid visiting but occasionally there are threads about music I’m into and I get the impression that for most genres there are a few regulars who will share if you ask nicely. I recently asked for disco/soul/funk essentials and was surprised how helpful it was. but from my experience yeah, it’s best if you add content you want yourself, if you want more of the same.

    it seems like a nice way. I'll always recall sharing jpop with salisbury one summer, and wonder if he still exists, I guess.

Descrizione

The popularity of the most successful writers operates to wean us from them, by the cant and fuss that is made about them, by hearing their names everlastingly repeated, and by the number of ignorant and indiscriminate admirers they draw after them: - we as little like to have to drag others from their unmerited obscurity, lest we should be exposed to the charge of affectation and singularity of taste. There is nothing to be said respecting an author that all the world have made up their minds about: it is a thankless as well as hopeless task to recommend one that nobody has ever heard of. To cry up Shakespear as the god of our idolatry, seems like a vulgar national prejudice: to take down a volume of Chaucer, or Spenser, or Beaumont and Fletcher, or Ford, or Marlowe, has very much the look of pedantry and egotism.

- Wm. Hazlitt on distaste for objects of popularity.

I'm sure we can all appreciate the connection this has with music.
