    check the change right after the beginning in "Europe—During the War"... the hands-down most heaviest thing I have ever heard (if you think you know of something more HEAVY, emotionally and sonically, than that, let your boy know). but Einaudi doesn't sound that "minimalist" as much as he does score for a film; from what you sent, I wouldn't equate him to Terry Riley or Philip Glass or my dude Steve Reich, but maybe I wasn't listening appropriately. if you dig silence, Morton Feldman is someone I recommendndndnd.

    damnnnn never heard of him. his Wikipedia entry makes him sound like a baller. got a link? what Reich have you listened to? "Different Trains", I'd say, gets heavier than anything I've listened to normally described as "heavy"... like, it rivals Meshuggah or Swans or GY!BE, for me, at least.

    HOLY SHIT oh well it's an entire album. I mean, there's no melodies to really lift from this, ya know? it's just pure space; not like there's anything wrong with that, but still.... it's funny because there is Steve Roach and Steve Reich, and they're entirely different albeit the same three consonants in their last name. littlefunfact.

    "pretty long" haha it's under 4 minutes. you're crazy. we listen to metal so that should be nothing... right? I actually have his Structures of Silence; it's raved about on RateYourMusic and I've yet to listen to it but this beauty definitely inspires me to delve into him. I've stopped downloading music so I have to go through the currently meaningless 3/4 of my library that has not been listened to; it's great because I know my favorite song is on there, and I don't even know what it is! do you dig African tuneage? if so: http://youtu.be/B_M7pX1OieU

    too many people are afraid; hell, this is a tiny case of the pot calling the kettle black since we all have things we're afraid of... but offense, maliciousness, etc. all stem from not knowing how to react to being afraid of what's around you. there's gotta be a ton of beauty in what's encircling us; why get rid of it? speaking of beauty, http://youtu.be/jVEimUEMjvg if you dig dark music (you like metal, so...)
