This KVLT release is the demo Beherit recorded in July 2008 in Helsinki and Bangkok. This demo was sent to Spinefarm records, who then agreed to release what became Engram. KVLT wanted to release the demo, and since Holocausto felt the demo versions were better than the final studio production, even though the drums on the demo were sampled, he agreed to this vinyl-only release.

Much like spinoff bands Blaspherian and Morbus 666, and fellow old school death metal worshippers War Master, Imprecation makes violent death metal that is not especially fast so much as it is varied in dynamic and tempo. These songs approach like a vaporous ghost, then enclose the listener and then clench them into tight sequences of dark cadence. Simple power chord riffs fit together like an apocalyptic Jenga puzzle and bring the listener through labyrinthine contortions to a place of inner clarity and, quite honestly, Satanic hatred.

This punchy CD is a lot like Empire of the Fallen Angel done up in Joined in Darkness style. It attempts to be more "musical" and less pure chromatic than JID, which is probably Demoncy's peak, and its lengthier single-string riffs call to mind what Profanatica did with Profanatita de Domonatia. Its weakness is that its patterns are sometimes too obvious, being built on basic harmony and two-part riffs in which the second is an obvious complement to the first. Starting in the late 1980s, magazines like Hit Parader started to use the terms "thrash" and "thrash metal" interchangeably for speed metal. The dumb kids who were buying Pantera CDs really got into this and started repeating it. Pantera is more popular (like Whitney Houston or Madonna) than underground thrash, so that was what the media parroted in its usual useless manner.
