I first became aware of Them Changes as the opening track to the Samuel L. Jackson flick, Formula 51. But it's popped up a fair number of odd places. Like in the middle of a Jaco Pastorius bass solo on the bootleg Honestly: Solo Live, not to mention the end of Hiram Bullock's cover of "Higher Ground" on Manny's Carwash. Just a good tune. I came across a Jimi Hendrix documentary on cable a while back that covered the Band of Gypsies era, and I have some bootlegs of the BoG playing the track with Jimi jamming and Buddy Miles taking the vocals from the drum kit.
