Hello hello. See ya flitted by & yer a Giant Sand fan & I liked yer comment that ye left on Barrio. Very true. All of it. Been a fan since I saw 'em way back in '89 /'90. Jeez. Nearly half my lifetime now. See we have quite a lot of similarities in our listening tastes. Must be to do with being similar ages. Say hello next time ye pass by. x

I saw them for the second time and again I enjoyed the show very much. The songs that are sung (and made?) by the bassplayer I like the most. The songs Lou Barlow makes are more songs with an easy tune. I like it when the rythm is less predictable.

I don't recall who, but someone turned me on to Bettie Serveert many years ago, and I love them." And aside from knowing who they are, aren't you impressed that I, an ignorant american know that they are a "they," not a "She?" I'm listening to Lamprey now. D Feathers is such a good song! It's early and my eyes are still blurry, so I misread Mary Margarat O'hara - she's unique and brilliant. You listen to her http://www.last.fm/music/Mary+Margaret+O%27Hara/Miss+America

by the way: Bettie Serveert is a Dutch band. How do YOU know such a band?

There's only 1 Mary O'Hara in my Itunes, and thats via Vic Chessnut. I never have heard of that Mary, till you started to talk about her :-). Giant Sand I know via een friend that also has a great taste in music. Ive seen them playing at ATP in England and in my hometown Groningen. I love their music. Calexico I find less interesting. I will listen to the bands in your list I dont know, because thats a good way to get to know other great music. Especially because we like the same music. Thats how I got to know other bands in the past. I recommend you to listen to Sparklehorse. I dont think its in your playlist yet. A great band, that no longer exists because Nark Linkous died. This month I will go the a concert of Sebadoh in Groningen, my home town, I look forward to it!

Thanks! We listen to the same music, so I hope you enjoy it. There are also Belgian bands, like Zita Swoon and dEUS in my list. I'm curious how you like that music. Dont think you know them in te United States.

Thanks Doot! It was a pretty easy since it is very true. Since the time you posted this he has already dabbled in a few more genres., so we need more guitarists!
