My friend mentioned that film to me last night actually! I guess I should check it out! Two whole days off.. just before payday so I'll be spending it mostly at home doing not a lot. All snow and ice has disappeared for us down here, thankfully! Being snowed into my little village wasn't fun.

I've been neglecting a lot of non metal stuff lately, so i'm gonna start with America, I love that band! Yeah, not so bad. Glad its the weekend though, two whole days off to do not a lot waha. How are you?

Haha, yeah, I agree. Yeah, I see. That sounds like a very odd and unnecessary route. Must take ages. And yeah, it's always really expensive going into London. Yeah, that's true. I went to Sonisphere '10 as well, hehe. The last festival I went to. Slipknot didn't play at that festival so would be nice if I could see them for the first time at Download. That's fair enough. Download is indeed a big and popular festival. Oh, I really hope it doesn't flood. That'll be just awful. It was such a terrible Summer last year. One to forget. Really? We must have opposing tastes in metal then. I also like classic metal but I'm not such a huge fan of power or folk metal. Yeah, I hope so too. :)

It's true, I love Metal Hammer but sometimes it overlooks the actual talent in order to pursue and promote what's popular at the time. I'm still sure that the reason Ghost are headlining the Jagertour is down to their label being financially persuasive :P I'm always one to look up a support act before a show if I haven't listened to them before so I know if I'm gonna like it or not. It is certainly a good way to discover new music :D

Metal Hammer loves The Defiled because they are home grown London talent. I actually love them myself, have done since their EP was released nearly 4 years ago :P They're still not really that big, they're only headlined a 500 person venue in London, but they sold it out so they can definitely play bigger. Powerwolf and Sabaton sounds like my current dream gig to go to!! Add some Kvelertak and I'll be camping out the night before to see that show :P

I would love to see Powerwolf live - I'm sure they put on a heck of a show!!! If the line-up was Gojira headlining with The Defiled and Powerwolf supporting, which of the two do you think would be higher on the bill??

Ah, that's cool. Good idea. :) Yeah. I guess I booked the right week off work. Commuting must have been tough. And working all day can't be all that nice either. Oh yes, I know Llandudno quite well. Been there a few times when my Gran was a bit younger and a bit more mobile. Nice place. :) Oh really? Is the route quite awkward with a lot of changes? Download's a maybe/interested. Not going for certain yet. A friend of mine is hoping to go with his mates and I cheekily asked if I could tag along and to my surprise, he said I could so I'm hoping that it all works out and I get to pop my Download cherry, lol. :P Well, I wanted to go to Bloodstock and I met someone on here who said I could go with her and her mates but she's now told me she doesn't want to go because of the line-up. It's a shame but I'm not that bothered about missing it this year. What I really regret is missing Bloodstock last year. The line-up was just about perfect for me.

Exactly the same here. Although I think it's warming up slowly because the snow is finally starting to disappear. Another cold night tonight though. A low of minus 5 locally. Hope the snow disappears nationwide soon. I'm sure I'm not the only one who is sick of it. Yeah, it was. Glad I went. :) Oh really? That's fair enough. I love their riffs. They have amazing solos and breakdowns. :) It is indeed. And Cannibal Corpse, don't forget the mighty, legendary CC. :P They're who I'm travelling all that way for. I think it's quite rare for them to tour in the UK and by some miracle, I had some holiday from work that weekend so I jumped at the chance. It is a trek indeed but I'm sure it'll all be worth it. :) Whereabouts in North Wales did you used to live? My Gran lives in Holywell, Flintshire and my Mum lived in Anglesey for a while. :)

Yeah, the drinks at the Golden Gods were rather well priced. It was the MH Halloween party where the drinks were really cheap!! I've seen Ghost live, and just thought "WTF???" when they came out on stage in their robes and satanic ritual gear!! I do go to loads of gigs and justify my sleepiness the next day as "research" hehe :D

:) Ah good. That's cool, lucky you. Because of the snow? Things are ok thanks. :) Enjoying a week off from work. In the latter stages of it now unfortunately. Back on Monday. It goes so fast. I went to see Sylosis in Bristol on the 23rd. That was an awesome gig. I hadn't seen them since 2010 and they had released 2 albums since then so it was nice to hear their newer stuff. :) Got a gig coming up in March which I'm looking forward to. Long way to travel but should be worth it. :) Haha, have you really? That's interesting. I wasn't in Ely for very long. We moved from there in 1987. Still doesn't stop me from supporting Cambridge in the boat race though, lol. :)

Hey there. Thanks for the shout. :) Why thank you. You have great charts too. :) You doing ok?

I'm sure they were cheaper last year, or maybe it was a different event I was thinking of :/ I was super surprised about Ghost headlining but then again it's probably due to money from their ridiculous £70,000 contract being thrown at Jager :P Gojira also have the benefit of having an awesome reputation for live gigs, I'm not the biggest Gojira fan, could never claim to be, but just through the grapevine I have heard they are amazing so I really want to see them. I'm okay with gigs anywhere in London really because I'm never more then 40mins on a bus - Shepherds Bush Empire being the furthest - from a venue. I'm at Rose Bruford - it's a drama college uni but it's the best place to do live event tech really.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to the Jager tour; awesome bands, awesome price (awesome priced drinks :P) and it's on my birthday :D I'm unsure with Korpiklaani - I wanna go but it's on a Monday so I might hafta give it a miss. I didn't get the day off of uni today but half the people didn't bother to show up so I'm not doing the train trek tomorrow!

You've got some great bands too :) Nah, I've taken some time off of gigs over Christmas - the last gig I went to was Twins of Evil in November - but I've got loads coming up between now and March. I have no idea when I'm meant to sleep :P Hows about you??

I have a penchant for all things medieval, particularly Anglo-Saxon. I mostly listen to folk / power / symphonic metal and celtic / english folk, with a few oddities thrown in here and there (though I'm sure this thing can tell you that...)
