Whoah, thanks for the friend invite! Just got done listening to your guys' stuff for the first time, was quite surprised when I checked my e-mail. Then I check out Cormorant's last.fm page, and, whoal-e shit a show with SuidAkra right here in San Fran! I'll try my best to be there and support you guys.

I figured, but that's a bummer. In the book, do you go into detail on how your band came to fruition? The beginnings, recording, etc.? Also, how were you able to attain the people you needed to complete your record? For example, did you know people who knew some people or started from scratch? And one last question if you don't mind, how did you come across Julie Dillon? She is certainly fantastic.

That's cool, considering what I've read from your previous interviews it's worth it.

Just curious, have you gotten around to the interview at all? It's closing in on 4 weeks.

Sounds like a solid set. The Emigrants Wake is probably my favorite track off of Metazoa. . The concept of two new songs just fills me with excitement, given that interview where it was said Cormorant had so much material either recorded or ready to go (slips my mind which it was)

I just found out that Black Mark records is still around, totally going to buy Bathory directly from Quorthon's dad :D

Also forgot to mention how great the new Ihsahn album is. It's really growing on me.

I'm not hugely familiar with Sigh, especially beyond Hangman's Hymn (something I am taking steps to rectify), but the new album has been blowing my mind. The production is a bit flat, but when it comes to black metal, production is really the last thing you worry about.

Hey, don't know if you're familiar with [artist]Shining[/artist] (the Norwegian prog band, not the suicidal black metal band), but their new album 'Blackjazz' seemed like it would be up your alley. And the new Sigh is phenomenal and wonderfully weird (I reviewed it on my new blog).

Gnarradical. That'll give me ample time to prepare the actual post and stuff without any rush. Thanks a lot, again.

http://www.heavyblogisheavy.com/ I figured it would be nice to know which blog I was talking about. Also, maybe it would be possible to get an interview some time? We dropped a ton in views since we went inactive for a while and I think it would make a huge spike in them, and we have a pretty varied audience so that'd be beast mode for you. idk

I saw on 235 that the next album is pretty close to being done. Do you think I could put it up for a 2010 release on my small metal blog or should I hold off?

Going off the person below me, I was at the Vader tour a few months back, and I was sporting my Cormorant shirt when given a compliment. That compliment happened to come from fellow last fm'er Wyzt, whom I was meeting for the first time that night. Funny coincidence but nonetheless it was refreshing to see someone know the band on my shirt.

Yo dawg. I was at Screamfest in Australia the last two days and had a dude come up to me on the first night (a non 235er as far as I'm aware) and comment on my Metazoa shirt and how he thought it was such a great album. Apparently he's one of your quadrillion last.fm friends, so random guy from screamfest if you are here - congrats on being kvlt enough to like this neckbeard's band :D

I demand you come to NYC and play a show. I'll rob an old lady for you to pay for it. :D

No problem, it's well deserved. I don't know if you can remember but I'm the cat who you (or one of the other band members, I assume it's you since you play bass) left a picture comment on of me playing that crazy Eastwood fretless EUB.

I Just want to say that the guitars are so elegantly blended with controlled melodic and harmonious passages, along with precise progressive rhythms that make for a full orchestrated sound of colorful darkness.

Question (Since I imagine 235 gets sick of Cormorant topics by now >_>), what direction do you think you'll take on your 2nd (Or 3rd if you count the EP) album? I honestly though "Voices of the Mountains" was a really awesome song despite seeming somewhat out of place in terms of the album as a whole. Also, know any good Celtic Folk Metal since you seem to be a Folk guru? Or just amazing Celtic Folk, either one works (I have Suidakra already and they're okay) And some Slough Feg worship while you're at it <_<

Yo, usf from 235 here. Nice article though my knowledge is a bit lacking on the subject matter so it probably won't do much good XD But what I wanted was to ask you what your sources were for your lyrics? I try to write poetry myself (I never could get the hang of meter so I just say "Fuck it") but figure my stuff could be better so I figured I would ask you since your lyrics are awesome :D
