Love your picks. Especially Add It Up, Scar Tissue, Drive, The Vans Song, and any Cake song really. Quite the range of music taste ya got there.

Quality list, going to download half of them now! Been looking for that LL Cool J song for ages.

Glad you like the list - I'm sure I missed a couple, but these should do for a while. It can't be too hard to find the LL song, it's one of the most popular ever.

The End - Doors is great, I like Crystal Ship as well. For RHCP I would choose I Could Have Lied and for the Stones I'd choose Tumbling Dice, Miss You, or Wild Horses. For Led Zep I'd choose Tangerine, Ten Years Gone, Since I've Been Loving You, heck, I couldn't choose just one. I like The Patient by Tool. I couldn't begin to choose a favourite Dylan song. I like Femme Fatale and Stephanie Says by Velvet Underground, and Waiting in Vain and Johnny Was by Marley. That's my small addendum. :)

Yeah, I was kinda only picking one song for each artist, and I was picking my personal fave (as long as it qualifies as a best song ever). I probably strayed from that a bit with Hey Hey What Can I Do, because it's not really the best Led Z song, you're right. Prolly should have chosen Dazed and Confused or Whole Lotta Love. The Stones are hard, too, but I picked a good 'un. And I couldn't really pick a single Marley tune, and I don't know how I picked Kinky Reggae, but it qualifies. I'll stand by my VU pick tho - it rocks.

    69 tears, huh?

hmm... dunno if you meant the name was wrong or that the song ain't that great. Either way, you're right and I just replaced it with a much better tune. Don't know what I was thinking - hardly the best ever.

I meant that I think it is better known as 96 tears...and it's should have left it.

I don't know about Killing Joke's Eighties. That isn't really even their best song out of their entire huge library. I'd say something more like Requiem to be on a best songs ever list.

  • Amighty

Possibly... you seem to be a bigger Killing Joke fan than I am. Their sound has evolved a bit thru the years and I haven't kept up. Eightees is a classic track either way and it rocks. Even Kurt Cobain would agree.

Haha, yeah. Did you know Dave Grohl actually played drums on Killing Joke's 2003 album? Funny shit. He did a good job though. Nice payback for Come As You Are, I think :)

    Gen 9 2006, 18:36
  • Amighty

Did not know that. I would imagine he did a good job, he seems to play every instrument and sing and do everything else. Was that their second self-titled album? I only gave it half a listen when it came out, I'll have to dig it up thanks.

Wow! Someone else who has heard of Blurt. They're a great band, even better live than on CD. And my mate's the guitarist - which makes me cool by association!

I found your list searching for more info on The Go, which I downloaded from my favourite music site...and I was thinking that you had amazing, and crazy taste, not unlike the other members of said site. And clicked that you actually ARE a member of Glono too. Rock on.

I will rock on, thanks! And I am very much looking forward to the new album by The Go, if it ever comes out. There's a few previews on their myspace page.

Better Off Dead by La Peste is an awesome song! Too bad they are almost unknown: here on La Peste is some kind of DJ...
