Voice of the Seven Woods - Voice of the Seven Woods

Thanks to one of my friends introducing me to VOTSW as the first single was released, I've been a big fan for a long time. The album seems to have taken an age to finally arrive as there have been a load of 7" single and cdr releases to whet the appetite and when the album finally was released, it fulfilled my high expectations. It is a superb mix of folk and prog rock, amazing acoustic guitar playing alongside hard and fast drums. I've only managed to see VOTSW once in concert due to very bad planning on my part but hope 2008 will see 2 or 3 gigs.

Not the most obvious choice for album of the year but this is the cd that has lived in my car most of all this year and has given me the most pleasure and as such is my album of the year.

The next 9 in my top 10 won't be so easy, so much to choose from.
