For our 25th and final podcast this year we would like to look back on a year of amazing music with our most personal podcast edition to date.

Each member of the zero" team - those that haven't gone missing in the holiday snow chaos that is - presents his favourite track of 2010 in this podcast edition, the one track that has made this year special for him or her.

With a number of different tastes and penchants represented by the people that zero" keep up and running, we hope that you will enjoy our selection of favourites.

The on-going permutations of the dubstep genre seem to have been the predominant trend this year however, with our 2010 Crew Picks featuring music by James Blake, Mount Kimbie, dBridge remixing Synkro, and even Leipzig's Kassem Mosse delivering an amazing broken beat track, 'Hi Res'.

Following up on his debut album 'Shedding The Past', the Berlin based producer has just released his second full-length, 'The Traveller'. We talk to Shed about 1990s UK hardcore, careless clothing choices, and his reluctance to travel.

Ever since his first releases appeared on Delsin and his own Soloaction label around six years ago, Shed has been perfecting the art of balancing dance-floor appeal with sonic experimentalism. His Detroit-techno inspired synth sections are frequently met with stumbling rhythms, which refuse to mimic the straight simplicity of modern-day club music.

Over the past few years Shed has devised a number of side projects to further liberate the Shed moniker from the burden of functionality. Wax and Equalized are some of the names hand-stamped on limited white label pressings, containing rough and gritty, yet brilliantly entertaining club anthems.

ASC — Джеймс (James Clements), как ты попал в мир drum n bass?

— Можно сказать, что я там с самого начала. Я заинтересовался этим направлением еще в 1993 году. До этого я увлекался хардкором и брейкбитом.

— А как стал продюсером?

— Мне было 14 или 15 лет, когда я начал делать свои первые треки на стареньком Atari ST. Тогда я в основном клепал noise. Со временем начал использовать ранние версии Cubase. Я просто любил музыку и хотел делать ее сам.

— Как тебе, еще малоизвестному продюсеру, посчастливилось попасть на Nu Directions?

— В 1997 году я с другом, продюсером FUTURE LINK…
