Ich erinnere mich, dass der Entschluss, auf dieses Festival zu fahren in der Discothek 'Nachtschicht' in Hoyerswerda (gibt's die Bude eigentlich noch?) gefällt wurde, irgendwann im April 2003. Zumindest war die Musik an dem Abend so schlecht, dass man gar nicht anders konnte als sich mal wieder die volle Dröhnung Rock'n'Roll zu geben. Also entschlossen wir uns das Pfingstwochenende mal anders zu verbringen als immer nur mit Mutti. Eigentlich wollten wir vermeiden zu Rock am Ring/Rock im Park zu fahren (von wegen böser Kommerz und so, uuuuh) aber bei dem Line-Up (Metallica-Comeback, Deftones etc.) konnten wir einfach nicht Nein sagen. Von der Oma eines Kumpels liehen wir uns ihren Chrysler Voyager, in dem 6 Man gemütlich Platz hatten (wenn man davon ausgeht das man nicht noch die halbe Gartenlaube ins Auto packt). Zwan was a supergroup formed by The Smashing Pumpkins singer, Billy Corgan.
Features members such as the smashing pumpkins drummer, Jimmy Chamberlin and Paz Lenchantin, who used to play in A Perfect Circle.
Unlike the smashing pumpkins who sounds like sad fucks, but i like, zwan plays songs that are bright, colourful and carefree. it just feels very joyful to listen to zwan. It's not only billy singing, but Paz also sings, which makes the experience more enjoyable. If you're lazy to try out the whole album. Try Honestly. Totally accurate representation of Zwan. or at least i think so.

Shiny Toy Guns's a pretty new band, formed in 2003. they have this cool chick singing for them, her name is Carah Faye Charnow. damn sexy. i don't really like the guy's voice, perhaps it's just me being a sexist. but i think it'll be the same for everyone who listens to them. …
