I think this is their best. Blue Blood has some great tracks like "Rose of Pain" but this is just pure metal and their boldest statement, whereas later stuff was too much cheesy ballad indulgence. I like hide's solo work more than later X Japan, but this album rules.

One of the best debut albums ever. [2] Their best album, along with BLUE BLOOD & Jealousy. Such an amazing album, really.

two really weak songs in this album is Kurenai and UN-FINISHED. Kurenai is just totally weak in english without any impact at all, well for UN-FINISHED. it really is just unfinished with yoshiki throwing in a demo for fun -.- but this album is one of the most kickass album together with BLUE BLOOD. but i totally agree that Kyoto Valley/POP HILL shld be released. maybe as a compilation package with all the old shows. i remember those days where taiji and someone else blew fire during X. :P

Not many agree but sometimes I truly believe this is their best album. Also wishing they would release a DVD of the legendary Kyoto Sports Valley show from 1988 that featured most of this incredible album. If I had to describe that performance using an Iggy and the Stooges album then I would use 'RAW POWER'.
