    Love this song great peace of music well composed and played but it also has this lion king sound to it vanessa mae is great i wish she would play more now than she does the lady is in fashion she needs to make some new albums the song she did with the scorpions was good as well

    It's just really old oral english for 'I'm down'. I don't know much about the original poem, but you can bet it's a ballad from the middle ages. Back then, there was no set language, and the only people that could write were the elite classes. To pass time, the poor people sang and made up songs (called 'ballads'). They couldn't write it down, so it was done orally. Hence the phonetic title.
