Continuando o meu Top 10 dos artistas que mais ouvi em 2010 no Last.FM, estamos agora na metade da parada, no quinto lugar:
5. Darren Hayes (135 plays)
Quem é rei nunca perde a majestade.
4. Миро (140 plays)

Mar 10 2010, 11:19 di GuitarBassDrumsAlways thought that my charts on last fm would only represent my true listening tastes once my Top 50 had at least 100 plays each.
Once my Top 50 got to 10 each I thought it would be fun to explain how I got around to first listening to a particular artist, my favourite release or something like that.
Also I am on a bit of a blues and blues rock habit at the moment so B.B. King, Albert King and Albert Collins are on their way to take over my top 50 in a big way.
Anyhow here goes my top 50 as at March 2010:
1 The Rolling Stones Play Count: 509
First listen : Start Me Up –single
Fave Album: Sticky Fingers
Dad was/is a big fan so got some interest in the Stones from him
Got some back catalogue a year or so ago and gave it an airing
2 Paul Kelly 500
First listen : Gossip album on tape
Fave Album: So Much Water So Close to Home
Ps They are all good
Great artist everyone should know about
Brilliant Singer/songwriter from Australia

Ott 12 2009, 4:07 di heyadamoSun 4 Oct – Liam Finn & Eliza-Jane Barnes
This performance was an anomaly in quite a few ways. For one, it was held the same day as Madison's annual marijuana legalisation rally. For another, it was a break in Liam and Eliza Jane's regular schedule, which consists of warming up for Wilco. Whereas the duo would probably get 30-45 minutes tops in their supporting role, here as headliners they had all the time they needed. Although the crowd of 40-50 people was sparse, Liam & Eliza-Jane treated them to a freewheeling, good-natured 90 minutes of upbeat pop-rock.
The duo are supporting the recently released Champagne & Seashells and so began proceedings with the first two songs of that. The rest of the set alternated between the EP and Liam's solo debut I'll Be Lightning with a few surprises here and there. Although Liam's known by some as Neil Finn's dad or Tim Finn's nephew, his stage approach differed slightly from his elder relatives manning Crowded House and Split Enz. The billing of the duo was completely accurate: there was no opening act, and the two handled all the vocals and instrumental duties. In order to do this, the two leaned heavily on a bank of pedals, effects and machines, almost like a electronica act. Eliza-Jane stood in front of a bevy of percussion tools, as well as a box that triggered sound loops, and provided vocal assistance. Meanwhile, Liam sang and played guitar, and technology intervened when he felt a song needed a little extra oomph towards the end. He would play a main guitar line, loop it, discard his guitar and rush to the nearby drum kit. …

Feb 19 2009, 16:28 di HonestHettyYou know; sometimes being young can really bite.
Are you ready for my teenage angsty sob-sob spiel?
The plus side of this day and age is the progression in technology - we have music at our fingertips now, endless albums/singles/downloads and constant information and updates.
The down side, on my end, is that I am not 18 until July, and am getting a tad peeved at missing out on 18+ events.
Sure, you're probably saying "Be patient Melanie, you can hardly change when you were born!" - but I think I was allowed to be a little upset when I missed out on an 80's night DJ'ed by the keyboardist from Duran Duran.
I bet it was epic!
But I won't complain TOO much about it, only a mere matter of months now.
I am off to see Mindless Self Indulgence in April, who are side by side with The Red Paintings at the Tivoli. Lucky for me (And also very confusing mind you), it is an all ages gig.
I might trip off to see Frenzal Rhomb if I have the money too.
Mag 29 2008, 1:05 di aikakoneUse your top 30 to answer the following questions:
1. How did you get into 29?
Live: I heard and liked a song from their first album, but it was their massive 2nd album Throwing Copper that had lots of radio singles. When I bought it, I could listen to about 6 songs (tracks 2-7 on CD) straight through and over again ad nauseum.
2. What was the first song you ever heard by 22?
King's X: It might have been one of the singles from the first album, but it was most likely Summerland from the second album Gretchen Goes to Nebraska
3. How many albums by 13 do you own?
Fall Out Boy: I own two separate albums, but I have 3 distinct copies of Infinity on High
4. What is your favorite song by 15?
Dave Dobbyn: Right now (all favorites can change) Just Add Water
5. What is your favorite song by 5?
Neil Finn: One of the best songwriters there is. My favorite just as I do this meme of his solo stuff is Truth, but with Neil my favorites do change frequently.
6. Is there a song by 6 that makes you happy?
Apr 9 2008, 12:07 di GuitarBassDrumsIt's only 3 and a bit months late but here is a list of the CDs I added to the collection last year.
