It's a shame that some must go without
I's no fool to think it might be my problem
Needy hands were reaching out
Kept my spare change and my pride in a tight fist

I found them through Vheissu, but I must say Beggars is their best album. They pull off the lighter feel more.

Truly amazing song. One of the things that really astounds me about Thrice is how Dustin can turn religious teachings and Bible passages into incredibly moving songs. They're never preachy, the goal is never to give the listener a Sunday school lesson - but their music forces the listener to mirror the emotions of the speaker, and bring out this incredible catharsis in doing so. Listen to this song, and really pay attention to the lyrics - you'll feel almost totally drained by the end of it. I can't even imagine what it'd be like live.

I enjoy this Thrice album a lot more than their other albums. I really prefer the more raw approach here. This song in particular sounds extremely heavy. Not because there's walls of distorted guitars everywhere, but because of more natural sounding guitars and drums that really attack when being pounded on. Awesome stuff.

Haha, I hadn't really thought of that, but I can totally see where you're coming from, Strokes1. Nice one.

"But the rewards of this life now count for naught / My body: soon buried and left to rot / The time's gone, how quickly it all has passed / My God, now I see how I've squandered each and every breath." = chills. this part sounds a little like "say it ain't so" by weezer....the "my father, step father part".
