These Arms Are Snakes è un quartetto progressive/post-hardcore proveniente da Seattle e attualmente sotto contratto con Suicide Squeeze Records.Annovera nella band ex componenti di BOTCH, Nineironspitfire, e i Kill Sadie provenienti da Minneapolis, con il batterista/produttore Chris che si è unito alla band solo dopo la registrazione dell’ album di debutto della band.
Hanno girato gli States con band notevoli come Minus the Bear, Big Business, Mastodon, Cursive, The Blood Brothers, Engine Down, Hot Water Music, Isis, Pelican and Against Me!. I componenti dei Minus the Bear, Playing Enemy e dei The Blood Brothers si sono prestati a favore della registrazione del primo album.

This Was Meant To Hurt You was above everything they ever did. I love most of it, but This Was Meant To Hurt You was a mark they could never reach ever again. They came closest with Easter.
