I The National sono una band indie rock americana formatasi a New York nel 1999. Le loro influenze principali spaziano da Bruce Springsteen ai Tindersticks e sono caratterizzate da testi densi e malinconici, cantanti nella peculiare timbrica baritonale di Matt Berninger.
