I Moody Blues sono una rock band Inglese formatasi nel 1964. Dopo un inizio in stile tipicamente R&B/Beat, i Moody Blues iniziarono ad incorporare nella loro musica influenze progressive e sinfoniche. Queste sfociarono nel concept album “Days of Future Passed”, in collaborazione con la London Festival Orchestra, che è largamente considerato il loro album migliore. La band, in attività ancora oggi, ha pubblicato 16 album in studio.

I saw the Moody Blues in 1983 for their long distance voyageur tour. Stevie Ray Vaughn opened for them, what a mixture that night! Stevei was just gettin' started. Love them both!!

Ditto yaghma: childhood spent listening to the Moodies, Eagles, Pink Floyd and Dire Straits (dad) and Barbra Striesand (urgh thanks mum) have imprinted them on my musical memory. Love love love Justin Hayward. Check out Jeff Wayne's musical War of the Worlds for Forever Autumn coupled with Richard Burton (grrr) and guilty pleasure of David Essex.

i actually dont like 'nights' so much. forever afternoon, dawn is a feeling and peak hour are better songs on that particular album, IMO. band completely changed after pinder left. i would give anything to have been at the isle of wight festival (1970). i saw hayward, graeme, and lodge this summer in cleveland, and i had to have been one of the youngest there. my generation doesnt recognize the brilliance of this band.
