I think the Robbert Smith and Siouxsie made the best decision by both working together for a time and then continuing to maintain their own bands. I know Smith was heavily pressured to join the Banshees permanently. But by staying with their own bands they immortalized themselves as the two best bands of what I consider to be an undefinable genre despite their being labeled by many as just Punk and Goth.

Jeanette Landray's vocals are odd. This song's allure is that it sounds off-kilter...makes me feel like I'm walking drunk down a long hallway almost tipping over

I like tracking the musical patterns here... the bassline for This Green City seems to preempt the bassline from Disintegration.. that and the flute prefiguing the demo version of Lament... (much like Close to Me and Japanese Dream being musical predecessors of Fascination Street, and A Thousand Hours that of Plainsong, etc...)

This was a strange album i got it when I was obsessed with the cure. I really like a lot of songs on it. I used to sit and burn incense and listen to this. I dont know if I smoked a little then too. Damnit I can't smoke now...makes me think crazy.

it's a DAMN shame that the two greatest ego's and talents of the New Wave could'nt, just give it up and write together, Siouxise's Hyaena and the following Cure's Head on the Door were classics.
