The Fall of Troy is a three-piece mathcore band from Mukilteo, Washington. The band consists of Thomas Erak (lead vocals, guitars, keyboards), Andrew Forsman (drums, percussion), Frank “Black” Ene (bass, backup vocals)
The band is characterized on their albums by technical, polyrhythmical instrumentation, by the alternating vocals of Erak and former bassist Tim Ward, extended techniques, and Erak’s vocal extremes (clean vocals to harsh, shrill screams). All three founding members came from the band The 30 Years War, which they were in when they were all about 17 years old.

@Stern_J I used to be in your boat but then I finally decided to give it a try and it's really a lot better than people give it credit for. Don't get me wrong, it isn't on par with Doppelganger or Manipulator but it definitely isn't just the "dull and boring record" that most people write it off as. Give it a shot, there's a ton of really cool moments in it.

Stern_J, their final album really is split between love and hate for most people. Depends on what you're looking for in the album. If you like tfot for the sound they had in Doppleganger and such, the new album really strays from that, and you probable wouldn't like it. On the other hand, if you really enjoy how they change from album, that same album is probably their most progressive in terms of trying out new techniques.
