@PartySanCTG, your biggest problem is, you don't know the original mono version of this excellent LP from 1967 >> Label A -- Label B >> And of course the the album title is The Electric Prunes >> So this is their first, self titled album. >> Allmusic knows wrong.

I dunno, 1/4 to 9 just doesn't sound like it "fits" them stylistically... seems a bit out of place on the album overall. And no way in hell is Toonerville Trolley excellent.

@freelance-fiend - what r u talking about? About A Quarter to Nine is a gorgeous track! Absolutely heavenly. And the rest of the album is excellent as well.

PartySanCTG - yeah those two are lousy as well, but I like the first 20 seconds of Sold to the Highest Bidder, I guess I like the arrangement more than the actual song

Freelance Fiend is right, although I'd add The King Is in the Counting House and Sold to the Highest Bidder to the shitpile.

This album would have been brilliant, if it were not for "The Toonerville Trolley" (unlistenable dreck) and "About A Quarter to Nine" (just lame)
