What I think about the new (3 months old) Ditty Bops album
Ago 9 2006, 19:12 di AlexHouser
I just got Moon Over the Freeway. I like it A LOT. I first saw the Ditty Bops in October 2005 when an awesome friend invited me to a Nickel Creek concert. And The Ditty Bops performed a memorable opening.
So my friend bought The Ditty Bops and I got the tracks from her probably illegally, and have been listening to them until now. Incidentally, I also bought that album, so I am now 100% legal. Thumb up!
Anyway, I've been waiting to get this album, and then I realised that I shouldn't wait to get this album. Now I have it.
My favourite songs are definitely (in this order):
Aluminum Can, which is just really awesome in every way,
Nosy Neighbor, because of how evil it sounds,
Your Head's Too Big, because, I mean, come on, it's great,
Angel With an Attitude, because it's pretty true,
and I am not really sure what I like about Get Up N Go, but I like it.
I've never actually said anything about the other album either. Here:
Walk or Ride is my theme song.
Ooh La La is wonderful and so is

New music I've been listening to...

It's all Franz Ferdinand's fault. They saved modern pop music for me. I kind of gave up on pop a while back, and never listened to anything that came out after about 1985. But the Franz changed all that! So I started looking around to see what other Franz fans were listening to (since they all seemed to have such impeccable taste), and picked up some albums and gave them a try. I was not disappointed. :-) I know some of these are old news, but they're new to me, sooo...yeh.

Totally unnecessary:

This is the most accurate explanation of what I'm listening to. It can and will change within even a week. I don't know even why I care to post this but I think it has something to do with being up so late and having so much work to do that I don't want to do.
Here is a mix I have made for myself based on the individual songs that I find myself listening to the most:
Crack the Whip
Oh Mandy
Brown Boxes
Rent a Wreck
Air
Keep My Baby Warm
The Price of Winter
Insistor
Cowbell
Rough Gem
Is All for Updated
Just Like Heaven (acoustic version)
November Rain
Kamera
Ashes of American Flags
Precious Metals
Wake Up
Lift Me Up ("Sound On Sound" version)
Until The World Stops Spinning ("Sound On Sound" version)
Hiding
Learn To Live With Your Heartbreaks
Vengeance, Pt. 2
Son Of Sam
Somebody That I Used To Know
Junk Bond Trader
Lick Shots
Add to that most of Elliott Smith's S/T and Figure 8 albums. I think that's mostly it.
Wake Up
