Ken Jordan e Scott Kirkland fondarono il duo Crystal Method di big beat ed elettronica. Partito nel 1993 come risposta ai Chemical Brothers, i due di Los Angeles aggiungono uno spirito da band alle loro composizioni dance. Il loro primo singolo “Keep Hope Alive” apparve nel ‘94 e presto assunse il ruolo di inno della scena rave in decadenza grazie alla miriade di remix che ne furono realizzati. I Crystal Method fecero dei tour dal vivo per dimostrare la loro abilità di veri musicisti e pubblicarono l’LP “Vegas” nel 1997. “Tweekend” (2001) e “Legion of Boom” (2004) seguirono nello stesso stile.
