Sooo I started fooling around with a mixer (BCD 3000) and some dj programs on laptop (Traktor/Deckadance/Virtual DJ) and I really got into it. I now do some regular mixes with music that I hope will get people dancing or nodding rhythmically at least.

This is my latest mix, it even has some sort of crossovers!

Deep house is a style of house music which fuses elements of Chicago house, 80's soul, jazz-funk and Detroit techno. The Jazz influences of deep house are most frequently brought out by sustained augmented or diminished chords which span several bars, which give the tracks a slightly dissonant feel. The use of vocals is also more common in deep house than in many other forms of house music.

Ok so I collect Mashups and love them to death. Nothing like pop music eating itself until it collapses in on itself in a glittery and fabulous hot mess.

I just went through and made a Mashup playlist and realise that I have like heaps of shit that others may not have but may want. So I thought I would list what I got that I think is either brilliantly mashed ie techincally sounds good and is good to dance to etc.

It was on this day in 1996 that Atlantic Records released the soundtrack album to the Mega Man cartoon show, which is my favorite soundtrack album of all time. It's hard to believe it's been 10 years already since it's release! I will have to play it from start to finish at some point today to celebrate! If it weren't for this CD, I would've never discovered Skid Row, and their former vocalist, one of my heroes:Sebastian Bach! And I also wouldn't have discovered Sugar Ray, Junior M.A.F.I.A., CIV, The Bucketheads, or Inner Circle.
