I'd throw in Hate Eternal, Nile and Origin for the death metal fundament featuring that industrial/"cold"/spheric gimmick. Fans of Ulcerate and Portal should love it. Anyways, I mostly stick to my shout here from 2008, saying The Amenta always had that great concept for sound but never quite lived up to it; fortunately, 'Flesh is Heir' should be their best album yet. Not bad! The drum production is at times so clinic and brutal that it's frightening.
Amazing band! Yeah it will be interesting to see how the upcoming full length "Flesh Is Heir" turns out. Probably with some real aggressive riffs/hooks and some very deep lyrics. Stoked for this to drop! \m/
