One of their worst albums. Only 2 or 3 good songs.

Fantastic album! Not a bad song on here, though I must say Babylon Sisters is probably the worst of the bunch despite the attention it receives.

It's too bad the song "The Second Arrangment" was erased. It would have added alot to this album.

Listen to "Gaucho" if you want to know what is true musical achievement and perfection - one of the greatest albums ever!

My favourite Dan album (though they were incapable of releasing a bad track: the 4 cd Citizen box set is immaculate). Time out of Mind, Hey Nineteen, Gaucho, Third World Man.... Chandleresque lyrics. The milk truck eased into my space, somebody screamed somewhere. I struck a match against the door of Anthony's bar and grill.

Almost every line in "My Rival" totally kills me. "Gaucho" and "Glamor Profession" are great, too. I always wonder where the hell they get those little details from. I prefer Gaucho to Aja because there's more substance to most of the songs lyrically, though someone who really knows the music side of things may disagree. Maybe not my favorite of theirs, but it has many great moments.

I am a few years older than you Nebaioth. And as a drummer myself, i have learnt much from Steve Gadd. I do remember Steve playing on 50 ways to leave your lover by Paul Simon, So simple and how!! Love and Peace xxx

I was 9 when Gaucho came out, and I had been playing drums since age 5. I had to learn my rudiments and how to read music before I could just jam out. I'd learn the songs and play along with these guys to work on keeping good time...good times!LOL...Thanks Steve Gadd!!!

Not my favorite of the Dans, but I still like it. It's like the end of a party where almost everyone's gone home and the night is done. It's an appropriate last album. (not counting Fagen's following solo)
