One of those hidden treasures, "It's A Good Feeling"... from the LP, "Smokey Robinson and the Miracles Make It Happen"

A Holland-Dozier-Holland composition that was a classic the instant the needle hit the grooves of song #3, Side 2. Like many great H-D-H compositions, this has such a great crisp, clean, uncluttered sound. The drums are flawless, a bit of keyboard adds a nice bit of color and the bass and bass drum are taking everyone on a thrilling rollercoaster of a ride. The grooves are glassy-bright you could light a whole downtown with this song- the guitar riff that opens the song alone is worth its weight in gold.

The Miracles- Claudette (as always providing that distinctive sound no one else could duplicate) Bobby, Ronnie and Pete- their backing vocals sound like the true definition of "Joy." It's a good, good feeling indeed just hearing them! (it also sounds like ace vocalists, the Andantes, are buffeting the backing vocals- adding just enough on the upper register to match the upward and skyward vibes of this great song.)

Smokey Robinson. The man never could do wrong to any song. Here he flirts and plays with the melody as if floating above the musical proceedings. Never breaking a sweat and still 100% soul all the way...
