SometimeWorld revisiting fever for the first time in a while. i remember thinking it was not as good as embrace initially. but after having a couple of months to digest spine hits (which i do think is rather good) ,fever has really started to shine for me. they removed a key formula to their magic and while i thought they'd be just as special without it/her, they really need her back!

bomix I tried (many times), but I don't like Spine hits. At least, it doesn't compare to Fever, one of the best albums in the last 10 years in my opinion. I miss the girl's voice so much.

SlySilverman Just saw Sleepy Sun in Minneapolis and they TORE it up. Opening two acts were good to especially The Further Adjustments.

irishtim For me, Spine Hits doesn't capture the same magic that Fever did. It's still a pretty decent album, but not as great as their previous work.

Spine Hits is really bland comparing it to their previous efforts indeed. The problem is that nothing really stands out, can't really reamember much of the album after a listen. Was looking forward to playing Spine Hits under the warm summer sun, but I guess Fever will have to do this year to. (And Fever + sunshine + nature = good times) Spine Hits isen't all bad, it's still a ok album, just when comparing it to their older stuff it's a bit of a let down. But if's great thet they are trying diffrent stuff, keep evolving.

NiKoMaN With Spine Hits, Sleepy Sun not only lost Rachel's magnificent voice, for some reason they also ditched their signature psychedelic epics, and have indeed become mostly uninteresting. A real shame.

armed_desire when i saw them in DC last year (maybe two years ago?) she was incredibly distant. kind of just stood there, only sung like half a song tops. really sad stuff =(

broteko I think Sleepy Sun sound just as good without Rachel...maybe even better! Spine Hits is definitely one of my favorites of 2012 so far.
