Kinda annoys me that people give too much attention to Mars Volta and ignore Jim's post-atdi work. I've enjoyed sparta, sleepercar and his solo project more than those mars volta guys. Psh, just saying
I have a special place in my heart for this album since I'm from Texas, and west TX fascinated me as a child. There is nothing I love more than when an artist is able to capture the aura and general feel of a specific geographic location, and Jim Ward achieved that with West Texas. I would love to see a follow up release.
