Viel zu lange nichts mehr von ihm gehört. Die neuen Tracks kicken mit einem so ausgelassenen Steppersound quer durch die Bänke der Futuristengaragen und bleiben dabei in ihren Melodien und Sounds doch so spartanisch und klar, dass man niemals Angst vor dem großen Soulgewäsch haben muss. Sehr frisch und eigen in der Euphorie, die die Tracks auf ihrem scheinbar rasend funkigen Tempo bringen und immer wieder auch mit einem Hauch Detroit. Manchmal könnte man sich vorstellen, so hätte Carl Craig, wenn er ein paar Jahrzehnte später gekommen wäre, jetzt Musik gemacht.  (Bleed, De:Bug / DE)

Just released this 12" on Bristol's Phuture Shock Musik.

After transmissions from Mr Mageeka and Roof Light, Phuture Shock's fifth release comes from Austrian talent, Simon/off. The 'Planetary Communication EP' leans into crisp, taut Techno/Breakbeats rhythms with the Carl Craig-esque title track, while 'About To See You' hits a Techy Afro angle akin to recent Kode 9 riddims, and 'New Basics' shakes out a Maddslinky-style wriggler.
