Robert could've written a tune about thre hiccups and made it into a grand statement of the human condition. That's the genius of the blues, as performed by its grand masters.

Only Robert Johnson could make an awsome song about passing kidney stones... True King

I think a movie about his life would be fascinating! He's such an interesting person.

no . not son house. A unrecorded blues man who hung out in graveyards at night

It’s not really known for sure but many people believe that Son House taught him how to play with the slide. If you listen to some of House’s early recordings you can see the similarity.

that's just the myth... He really learned from an old blues player, who was probably better than he was

robert johnson is one of my favorite artists of all-time because he poured his soul into just about every tune that i've heard recordings of him performing. some of the tunes on this cd collection are just novelty, but this track right here is the real thing... delta blues, baby! it doesn't matter when a bluesman's song sounds familiar or when it sounds like another one of his own tunes. that's the format. that's the way the blues goes, but it's significant that different takes of these tracks sound different from the one before.
