The script lists the users top 20 overall artists and lists the 8 most similar artists to each one, then delete's any repeated artists.
The idea is to see how varied your taste is, a score of 9 is extremely unvaried while 160 represents an extremely varied one.

Mag 10 2007, 16:52 di missravenxTake your top 20 artists. For each of these artists, collect the top 5 similar artists. The resulting number of unique artists is your eclectic score. If the score is small (extreme = 5) your musical preferences are very limited, and if it is large (larger than 80, extreme = 100), then you have an eclectic musical preference. You can compute your own score at http://anthony.liekens.net/pub/scripts/last.fm/eclectic.php

Mag 14 2006, 14:07 di kissmesuicideI suppose, if I'm going to start a journal here, I may as well start off by listing a few of my all time favorite bands, and bands I'm recently getting into.
I'm mainly into goth, deathrock, post punk, ethereal, ect. I also enjoy random Industrial artist (of the more tripped out brand, usually, such as The Tear Garden, or really early and experiemental Industrial, such as Nitzer Ebb or Cabaret Voltaire). Recently I have been delving deeper into dark cabaret and Heavily into Avant Garde and Experimental music.
So now, to name off some of my favorites:
My All Time Favorites
Faith and the Muse
Siouxsie and the Banshees
The March Violets
Sisters of Mercy
Other honorable mentions and stuff that are real close runner ups are:
The Legendary Pink Dots
The Tear Garden
Dead Can Dance
Stuff That's Been in My Head Recently
