Ugh, why is it so hard to find a version of this song on youtube or grooveshark? All I want is to illegally distribute Peter's creative works on my facebook so all my friends can hear this gnarly ass track. Is that so wroooong?

cowbell was used instead of cymbals - as Gabriel wanted to avoid too many high frequencies on this album - in order to add some space to the album - interesting experiment...

Paul Weller of The Jam, and uh, of, well, Paul Weller, plays a big Rickenbacher guitar on this one(We will forgive the Style Council, Paul), ...love it.

I didn't discover this song until the last 7-8 years or so. Wow! This is definitely my favorite Peter Gabriel song and one of my top 20 fav songs of all time! I love the manic sound of his voice, especially during the last refrain and the analog lead synth w/ portamento in the background. The guitar & drums totally drives the song. Gabriel does an uncanny job of conveying the detachment felt via non face-to-face communication via technology.

Takes me back to revising for my 'A' levels. I had this album on the turntable most of the time.
