The production actually almost ruined this album for me, pretty intense brickwalling/clipping...sadly, I think I'll be having to clipfix a lot of death metal. Was worth it for this awesome instrumentation, though.

Not sure why it has to be Cosmogenesis OR Omnivium. I think both albums are great, and Omnivium seems like the logical progression from Cosmogenesis. I like the guitar tone and overall production a little more here, and its a bit more energetic. But both albums have quality music.

So damn cool to see their vocals finally equal the quality of the instrumentation, this is going to be getting sooooo much attention from me.

I prefer Cosmogenesis over Omnivium, simply because there is a bit more emotion and catchy songs, while steal remaining very technical and progy. Omnivium is more tech/progressive, but it lacks the first two things. Anyway, really amazing album made by insanely good musicians!

Cosemogenesis wasn't bad, but this album is absolutely remarkable. I had no expectation to hear something like this from what I thought was a typical 'technical death metal' band.

And somehow, I now love this album even though I used to loathe it.

They went a bit overboard with the technicality but I still enjoy it. Alot of great solos and Grossmans drumming is excellent here.

i think this album deserve a lot of praise not because this is overrated, it's because they covered Concerto from THE TRUE TECHNICAL BAND "CACOPHONY", Muenzner give a lot of respect for Jason Becker..

If you don't like this shit, I don't know what to say. Listened to it crossfaded and I thought the album was having sex with me.

i prefer the Commogenesis album because is less progresive, and more technical death.
