They kind of look like they all need a shower but they're pretty good.

Saw these guys with Thank You Scientist and Periphery. They put on a hell of a show. Had never heard of them before but I'm glad I heard.

@Onsdkapet I agree with your points, but as someone who listens to pretty much every djent/math metal/prog metal band they can find, I can speak to the fact that a huge number of metal bands nowadays ARE, in fact, part of or taking a lot of influence from those genres. The same ideas can be found for Nu-Metal and 'core' genres from the 90's and early to mid 2000's: those were dominant styles, and so influenced pretty much every metal band that came out during the time.

Just like every metal band was labeled Nu-metal in the early 00's and every metal band was labeled either metalcore or deathcore in the late 00's, every metal band from the early 10's is labeled either Djent or progressive. From what I've heard I'd call them alternative metal.

Nothing More's self-titled album has made it into my top 20 for 2014. Check out exactly what I thought of it here:

Tool, Mars Volta, Fair to Midland, Rishloo, Karnivool, Djent, and random electro pop catchiness make these guys incredible.

They slightly fit that Fair to Midland shaped hole in my heart, and I guess that'll have to do until FtM (hopefully) get back together. These guys do have some very catchy and great songs though.
