I wish they'd stop touring already, and make a new album...[2]

@PistolPeteMatty, it just got even better. I CLipgrabbed the mp3s from a seemingly abandoned channel. A few months after asking for a download link for preservation, so those files I have uploaded are basically through YOutube and then re-encoded again. However, I have the link to the source file of the original uploader. Better audio quality here, now with an additional EP: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0ByumW4bja1qUYU1YM292a3ZjcDg/view The band doesn't have any intentions of re-releasing any of this material, so it's good to keep it in circulation for the hardcore fans!

Amazing band. I heard mr mtv last year and was blown away, then heard jenny on the radio, looked it up and figured out it was the same band. Definitely a fan.

Sanity_Theorist, you are a saint. These albums are near impossible to find, but that's not an issue anymore!

The bass playing on Madhatter's BLiss is fitting for the EP name, might be their best bass playing (and that's saying a lot!)

All these comparisons being thrown around, but none to Dead Letter Circus? They are definitely the sum of their influences, but they have a hell of a sound, hehe.

Saw these guys with Thank You Scientist and Periphery. They put on a hell of a show. Had never heard of them before but I'm glad I heard.

@Onsdkapet I agree with your points, but as someone who listens to pretty much every djent/math metal/prog metal band they can find, I can speak to the fact that a huge number of metal bands nowadays ARE, in fact, part of or taking a lot of influence from those genres. The same ideas can be found for Nu-Metal and 'core' genres from the 90's and early to mid 2000's: those were dominant styles, and so influenced pretty much every metal band that came out during the time.

Just like every metal band was labeled Nu-metal in the early 00's and every metal band was labeled either metalcore or deathcore in the late 00's, every metal band from the early 10's is labeled either Djent or progressive. From what I've heard I'd call them alternative metal.

Nothing More's self-titled album has made it into my top 20 for 2014. Check out exactly what I thought of it here: http://manofmuchmetal.wordpress.com/2014/12/19/album-of-the-year-2014-number-15/
