Two months is too little, they let him go
They had no sudden healing
To think that providence
Would take a child from his mother

A wonderfully written song and a stellar performance, this piece doesn't miss a beat (of the all-to-human heart). I have surely experienced God's comfort, as well as His healing and His provision. Ms. Grant (not purposefully, I'm sure) weaves a tapestery of life's circumstances confusing us about God's promise to save. But if is God's will that all are saved, why not in this case? Salvation, be it eternal life or healing, is by God's grace through man's faith. Job tells how his disaster came about, saying, "…what I dread befalls me." Lacking faith in God, he was vulnerable. But finally, lamenting even his birth, Job was simply unable to surrender hope and curse God. Hoping against hope, having done all, he stood. Be as Job. Don't let bitterness grow in to a numbing hatred of God, for it is a snare of the enemy. Like the man asking Jesus for healing in Mark 9—and cry out to Jesus, "I do believe; help my unbelief." Cast yourself on the God's grace and see His salvation—and His comfort.

I recently sang this song at my grandmother's funeral...on the day that happened to be Natalie's birthday. Over the last five and a half years, I'd heard this song a million times, but after singing it at the funeral, I don't and never will hear this song the same way again! You go Nat! :)

Heart wrenching beauty. Reminds me of Meeting my Fiancé who I will wed January 8. We shared a very emotional moment while listening to this song before we began dating, I will never forget that time
