So, yet another issue of the Year End Summary is about to amuse and bewilder you. It was an awesome year for music, and it was also a totally magnificent year for my other passion, cinema, but that's not the place to speak about it. Anyway, for quite some time I've had this thought that this summary business is kinda stupid – suddenly in December you realise how many potentially awesome albums you've missed and then you desperately try to make up for it by listening as much as you can, neglecting your work, studies, family, girlfriend, cat or whatever you've got to care for. Not that I intend to drop doing this or something, I guess I just like doing pointless stuff nobody cares about. Oh well, I start to blabber here. So, let's get ready to rumble!

震災の翌年だからなのか、メタル人気が今一つだからなのか、今年はやってくれるのか、心配でしたが、1日ではあったものの開催してくれました。直前にストーンサワーが来られなくなったけど、なんとチルボドが来てくれることになったし（また単独も希望！！）、招聘、開催側の方々の努力の結果でしょうね。本当にお疲れ様でした。そして、ありがとうございました。また、来年もよろしくお願いします。せっせと国内盤、買います。

今年のメンツは、結構好みのものが多い。ただ、3ステージあったので、泣く泣く全部見るのを諦めたアーティストもいました。また、グッズ販売に異常に時間がかかりました。
ネットでも当日限りで販売をしていたようですが、移動や観光で時間や環境が整わない方もいらっしゃると思います。せめて２、３日の余裕をとっていただけるとありがたいです。

Das Festival hatte alles: Eiskälte, Sonne sowie mehr als genug Wind.
Dazu eine lockere Atmosphäre, überzeugende wie auch technisch versaute Auftritte und als besonderes Schmankerl Geschichten über Stau, Preise, Flöten und tote Mäuse uvm.

Do., 9. Aug. – Party.San Metal Open Air

Party.San - Dieser Name steht für Geiles LineUp , eine super Location und eine unverwechselbare Stimmung auf dem Campground.
Seit 2 Jahren besuche ich nun das Party.San und war beim ersten Mal wie weggeblasen von den Erfahrungen - dieses Jahr sogar soweit dass ich den Drang verspüre das ganze einmal Niederzuschreiben.

Zu Viert reisten wir aus dem Bergischem Land mit dem Auto an, Morgens um 7 ging es los , nach Einkauf und ähnlichem war Schlotheim gegen 4 in Sicht. Eingereiht in die Schlange merkte ich direkt, dass ich daheim angekommen bin - Überall Symphatische Leute, absolut nichts und niemand der den Eindruck trübt - selbst die Security´s waren Klasse, allesammt überaus Nett aber Bestimmend.
Wieder wurde der Campground in 3 "Plätze" eingeteilt , welche nacheinander becampt wurden - wir wurden an das Ende des ersten Campgrounds versetzt, in die Nähe des Roten Containers. Anfangs etwas deprimiert ganz hinten zu sein merkten…

Wrathprayer - The Sun of Moloch 9/10
Darkest metal massacre. Sinister to the bone.

Master - The New Elite 9/10
I love this old school death metal. Great songs, definitely a win.

Gothic Knights - Reflections From the Other Side 9/10
Back after 9 years - with the hell of an album. Great!

Demon - Unbroken 8,5/10
Damn, what a killer of an old school heavy metal / hard rock album! Recommended! Maybe this one deserves even more points in the future...

Pharaoh - Bury the Light 8,5/10
Classic power metal with quality.
