    Johnny Hodges has been an idol of mine since first hearing him playing with Ellington. Fine as this version is letter versions are superior because Hodges is given much more solo time.

    I walked into J & R music when I was a teenager, heard this alto and asked the J & R employee who it was, " Johnny Hodges, of course" was his reply. Been a fan ever since.
